tides of time spans old saybrook’s history from before the first european settlers arrived in connecticut to the present time. it highlights the importance of the town’s location at the mouth of the connecticut river.
the 24-foot long mural graces the main entry wall of the recently expanded library and is a favorite destination for both townspeople and visitors. it was sponsored by the friends of the acton library and raised close to $350.000.
